When Rusydinul Aiman first walked into AICREATIVV in February 2024, he wasn’t carrying a camera — he was carrying a notebook. As one of the first Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) interns to join through Imamull Qhaeer’s teaching stint, Rusydinul Aiman started out in the business team under Elroy Ramantan. His early days were spent shadowing meetings, helping with leads, and learning the art of communication.
“I learned how to talk to people — what to say or what not to say,” Rusydinul Aiman recalls. It wasn’t glamorous, but it taught him one of the most valuable lessons: how to carry yourself with confidence in a professional setting.

Discovering Media Along the Way
Though his internship began in business, Rusydinul Aiman had always been curious about media. He never voiced it out, never pushed for it — until the opportunity came. When the team needed more hands behind the camera and in the editing room, he stepped forward.
“Media was something I liked but never really pursued. When the opportunity came, it just felt right to take it.”
The shift wasn’t easy. Moving from handling clients to handling cameras meant starting from scratch. “Everything was challenging, to be honest. I had little to no experience, so I really had to lock in and get familiar with the environment.” But he stuck with it — and in time, found his rhythm in fast cuts, explosive edits, and quick thinking under pressure.
Learning by Doing
Rusydinul Aiman is the first to admit that no textbook could’ve prepared him for what the media floor feels like. “Learning stuff from a textbook and doing it practically has a major difference. For me, doing it practically helped much more.”
That hands-on approach paid off. Today, Rusydinul Aiman proudly counts projects like the Lexus LBX shoot and UNN campaigns as some of his proudest moments. They weren’t just big-name clients — they were proof that he could stand alongside the team, contributing ideas and executing edits that mattered.
The media department, he says, is “a bunch of kids who love to have fun at work.” It’s this mix of playfulness and resilience that’s taught him how to stay calm during tough shoots, think on his feet, and always find a solution.

Advice for Future Interns
As one of the first IBTE interns at AICREATIVV, Rusydinul Aiman’s advice to future students is simple: “Create. Stop thinking and just go for it.” Looking back, he wishes he could tell his 2023 self just one thing: get comfy.
Full Circle at AICREATIVV
From intern to freelancer, part-timer to full-time Media Executive — Rusydinul Aiman’s path wasn’t linear, but it was his. What stands out most to him isn’t one single milestone, but the collection of small wins: holding the camera for the first time, learning to cut with speed, growing more confident with every edit.
“To me, being part of AICREATIVV full-time means I can work in my own comfort,” he says. Comfort, in this case, isn’t about ease — it’s about belonging. Rusydinul Aiman has found his place not just in media, but in a team that values growth, creativity, and fun.
