Known for his quiet demeanour and unexpected wisdom, Dhiyaurrahman Suhaimi has become one of AICREATIVV’s most dynamic creative forces. Since joining the team in November 2024 as a 2D/3D Animator, Dhiyaurrahman Suhaimi has turned challenges into stepping stones—growing both technically and personally in ways that reflect his favourite metaphor: Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing with gold. To him, every crack, setback, and obstacle has only made his journey more valuable.

From Freelance to Team Player
Before AICREATIVV, Dhiyaurrahman Suhaimi worked freelance, experimenting with videography, CG, and animation. While freelancing gave him freedom, it also meant working alone. Joining AICREATIVV filled that gap. Collaboration with the media and creative teams introduced him to a structured pipeline that mirrored the studios he always imagined. “Having second opinions and collaboration really filled the gap I felt as a freelancer,” he reflects.
That shift also pushed him beyond his comfort zone. Once shy about communicating, he now leads discussions and even took on the role of VFX supervisor in productions. “A year ago, I don’t think I would’ve had the confidence to guide others. Now, I’ve grown not just technically but personally.”
Projects That Pushed Boundaries
This year was full of creative milestones. The BILIF timeline project tested his limits with polygon wireframes that nearly slowed his PC to a crawl, while the BFI interactive map demanded deep dives into 3D modelling and rigging. Yet, Dhiyaurrahman names the Wadokai Open Championship Tournament 2025 animation and Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) UsinWise launch video as his proudest highlights—not just for their quality, but because of the collaboration they embodied.
He’s also mastered new skills in 3D modelling, opening a “whole new dimension” of creativity. Where he once only animated, now he builds worlds, characters, and objects from scratch. It’s this combination of creativity and technicality—what he calls “creative first, technical second”—that makes his work distinct.
The People and the Process
When asked what inspires him, Dhiyaurrahman Suhaimi doesn’t hesitate: the team. “For me, it’s how I get to learn from the way everyone gives their best in their role. On top of that, there’s always a sense of playfulness in between the work, which makes the environment both motivating and enjoyable.”
The influence of mentors also shows in his journey. Learning lighting from Hisham Firdaus and Syafi ‘Aizzuddeen, receiving feedback from Imamull Qhaeer, and collaborating with the creative and media teams have shaped his growth. He describes the team’s energy in one word: Resilient.

“No matter how tough the deadlines get, the team always bounces back, adapts, and pushes through together.”
Looking Forward
Dhiyaurrahman Suhaimi’s vision for the future is ambitious: cinematic campaigns blending live action with VFX, immersive world-building, and even stylised music videos. He also hopes to evolve his animation style by experimenting with mixed mediums, combining motion graphics, 3D, and VFX into something uniquely his own.
For aspiring animators in Brunei, his advice is simple but powerful: “Steal like an artist. Don’t wait for the ‘perfect’ project. Learn the fundamentals, learn the tools, and stay consistent.”
Kintsugi as a Creative Journey
If there’s one word that defines his year, it’s Kintsugi. Growth through imperfection. Every cracked moment polished with resilience, every challenge sealed with collaboration. At AICREATIVV, Dhiyaurrahman Suhaimi isn’t just animating shapes and motion—he’s building a story of transformation, one golden line at a time.
