December at AICREATIVV: Closing Chapters and Looking Ahead

December always feels like a blur — the kind where days overlap, conversations stretch longer than planned, and little moments somehow matter more than the big ones. This year was no different.

As 2025 wound down, the team found ourselves balancing wrap-ups, farewells, food (lots of it), and the quiet act of resetting before stepping into a new year.

Here’s how December unfolded at AICREATIVV.

A Night That Stayed Loud

We started off December with one of the year's most exciting moments — XEDC Vol. 2.

Held at BRIDEX Hall with a full 360-degree stage, the showcase felt bigger, louder, and more charged than ever. The underground battle concept set the tone from the start — raw, immersive, and unapologetically street. It was easily the biggest XEDC showcase yet, and the energy in the room matched the scale.

One of the highlights for us was watching Iman Shamsuddin take the stage under Team Pika, whom we've been collaborating with the past few months. She absolutely slayed. Seeing one of our own perform with that level of confidence and presence was awe-inspiring.

The momentum kept building when local hip hop group Zon 6 performed a series of tracks, including their remix of Yuki Chiba’s Team Tomodachi, followed by an unreleased song that sent the crowd into a frenzy. The media team was on their feet the entire night, capturing moments as they unfolded without pause.

For the rest of us in the audience, sitting still wasn’t really an option. We were jumping out of our seats, cheering loudly, fully hyped, especially knowing we had some of the best seats in the house. Everyone showed up dressed for the moment too, leaning into our “Y2K meets Tokyo Drift”–inspired outfits, committing fully to the night.

Dance wasn't the only thing showcased that evening, it was also a showcase of how powerful it is when culture, performance, and community come together in the same space.

Ending the Year Around a Very Loud Table

Our end-of-year dinner has become a tradition at this point — gathering the current team, former interns, and close collaborators who’ve been part of our year. Usually, this means hotpot: boiling soup, frozen meat, vegetables, imitation seafood, our clothes smelling like food— the whole thing.

This year, we broke the streak.

Instead, we wrapped up 2025 over sushi, tempura, green tea, and chaotic conversations at Excapade, Setia Jaya. Without a private room, we were most definitely the loudest table in the restaurant. Dishes were flying in every direction, and at one point, Hafiz found himself assisting the servers to make sure everyone got the right order.

Huge shoutout to Annaliza, our server, for keeping things together while we did… whatever that was. And shoutout to our Ampuan Hafiz too for having to do "work outside of work" by double checking the receipts and ensuring everyone got the correct order.

It wasn’t polished. It wasn’t quiet. But it felt like us.

Saying “See You Again” to Majidah Khirul

December also meant a goodbye — or rather, a see you again.

Our creative intern from KIGS, Majidah Khirul, officially wrapped up her three-month internship with us. Under the supervision of Stephanie Yong, Majidah Khirul contributed to several projects including XEDC Vol. 2, KUS, First Emporium, and Potato Habit.

On her last day, we surprised her with some of her favourite snacks — Knoppers wafers, which accidentally resulted in happy tears. Oops.

Stephanie Yong shared this about Majidah Khirul:

“She has shown a lot of potential throughout her internship and is always eager to take on any task given to her. She is a fast learner, completes her work efficiently, and can be relied on to take responsibility for her tasks. Although, she is more on the introverted side, she has a soft, kind heart and a quiet charm that makes her a pleasure to work with.”

We’re incredibly proud of how far she’s come, and we’re pretty sure this isn’t the last we’ll see of her.

Long Weekends, Many Versions of Rest

With the holidays came long weekends — and many different interpretations of “rest”.

Between 24–28 December, the team did what the team does best: a little bit of everything.

Badminton matches happened. Fishing trips happened. Pop Mart shopping happened. Café hopping happened. Drama marathons resumed (IQIYI was resubscribed). Clay workshops were attended. Pokémon cards were bought, multiple times.

Some of us travelled. Some of us worked. Some of us did absolutely nothing — and honestly, that was probably the point.

Gifts, Potluck, Karaoke, and Chaos

If there’s one thing we love almost as much as food, it’s gathering everyone including former team members and interns — and turning it into a night.

This year’s year-end wrap-up party was hosted by Stephanie Yong, and it came with a potluck spread that ranged from nasi bungkus and pasta to ice cream, rambutan, and everything in between.

Gift exchange was the main event. Rusydinul Aiman and Hisham Firdaus sat out of the exchange and helped coordinate the flow of gifts behind the scenes, making sure everything ran smoothly. Everyone took turns guessing who their gift was from — with mixed levels of accuracy and a lot of laughter.

The night ended the only way it could: karaoke. Dangdut. K-pop. Malay galau. Hip-hop. Dancing until bodies gave out.

Somewhere in between, we also revealed the results of our “Most Likely To” team survey — hosted by Haziyah Azalmey and Ampuan Hafiz — which answered questions nobody asked but everyone needed to hear.

Wrapping Up Work (and Doing It Well)

December wasn’t all celebrations.

We successfully wrapped up our TBK shoots, and one standout moment was seeing Alimin Affendi deliver exceptional art throughout the production. We’re especially proud that many of the visuals featured fresh faces and new performers, bringing a sense of authenticity and new energy to the work.

The team came together beautifully to bring the concept to life — a strong note to end the year on.

Small Surprises That Made the Days Lighter

On the final working day of the year, we were met with an unexpected surprise: pizza.

Our landlord, Adnan, arranged a delivery from Margherita — two large pizzas shared between the team in an impromptu office pizza party. Inside the box was a note wishing us “Good vibes all through 2026”.

Another surprise came earlier in the month, during Amal Osmera’s birthday week. What we thought was a client arriving turned out to be a cake delivery — a mango shortcake from Laze Café, sent by our longtime client-turned-friend Fadhli Sulaiman, whom we’ve worked closely with for BDCB.

Small gestures. Big smiles.

Closing the Year With Perspective

Before the year officially ended, Co-founder and CEO, Imamull Qhaeer gathered the team for the end-of-year meeting. We reflected on what the past year brought — what worked, what didn’t, and what could have been better.

It also marked one full year since AICREATIVV moved into the Tungku office.

Looking ahead to 2026, a few updates were shared:

  • 2026 Motto: “Makasero (任せろ): I leave it to you”

  • The return of remote working (with structure and rules)

  • Monthly activities/away days becoming compulsory

  • The return of business bootcamps

  • A change in leads

  • Adapting to new systems; involving a more systematic weekly check-in

Clear direction. Clear expectations. Plenty to look forward to.

Until the Next Chapter

December reminded us that work isn’t just about output — it’s about people. About showing up. About staying connected. About ending one chapter before starting the next.

We’re stepping into 2026 rested (mostly), grateful, and ready.

See you on the other side.
