“If you want to work faster, work alone. But if you want to grow and succeed in the long run — work with a team.”
For Syafi ‘Aizzuddeen — or ‘Judin’, as he’s better known around the office, joining AICREATIVV full-time wasn’t a coincidence. It was a continuation of a journey that began on project-basis collaborations, where his energy, perspective, and precision quickly stood out. What started as a few creative partnerships evolved into something deeper: a shared vision for growth, creativity, and collective success.
From Freelancer to Family

Before joining AICREATIVV, Syafi ‘Aizzuddeen had already built a name for himself as a freelancer, gaining experience from various teams and creative companies. But what drew him here wasn’t just the work, it was the people.
“I’ve gained knowledge and skills from different places, but AICREATIVV pushes me to go further,” he shared. “The team is driven, fresh-minded, and always in tune with trends; it’s the kind of environment that makes you want to stay and grow.”
Transitioning from freelancing to a full-time role came with its own adjustments: new routines, earlier mornings, and the rhythm of structured collaboration. But what could’ve been daunting turned out to be grounding.
“At first, I was overwhelmed by the system,” he admitted, “but it works — because everyone’s on the same page. And when things get tough, we take a tea break, talk it out, and keep going.”
Creativity Grounded in Growth
Syafi ‘Aizzuddeen describes his personal philosophy as “being better as a person in doing what I love.” It’s a mindset that goes beyond craft — it’s about discipline, humility, and self-awareness.
“For me, growth isn’t just technical. It’s about learning from people, staying open to feedback, and improving how I approach challenges,” he said. “When you grow as a person, your work naturally follows.”
Even during demanding production weeks, he sees every project as an opportunity to refine both skill and mindset. His secret? Staying grounded. “Every project is a new chance to grow,” he explained. “Breaking things down into small goals and keeping a positive attitude helps me focus. The energy you bring affects everyone around you.”
And when asked about inspiration, his answer was uniquely Bruneian: “The new gens — and Wawasan 2035.” To him, both represent boldness, vision, and the drive to move forward. “They remind me to stay relevant, but also meaningful. That what we do today contributes to something bigger for Brunei.”
A Meteor Among the Team
In a team filled with distinct personalities, Syafi ‘Aizzuddeen sees himself as a meteor — a burst of light that leaves a mark.
“A meteor brings sudden energy, light, and momentum,” he explained. “That’s how I see my role: to make an impact, to bring fresh ideas and drive that moves things forward.

Despite his calm and composed exterior, he admits he’s often deep in thought behind the scenes; overanalysing, fine-tuning, and finding ways to make things better. “I overthink a lot because I care a lot,” he laughed. “It pushes me to improve and makes me value honest feedback.”
On set, he brings that same mix of precision and positivity. “Good energy is contagious,” he said. “Whether we’re shooting or editing, I want to keep the team focused but also grounded, because when we’re aligned, the work speaks for itself.”
Leaving a Mark That Lasts
One of Syafi ‘Aizzuddeen’s proudest moments wasn’t tied to a single project, but to a feeling: seeing the team gathered after a successful shoot, celebrating together. “It felt more like family than colleagues,” he reflected. “That kind of bond motivates you to give your best every day.”
Since joining full-time, he’s grown more confident in leading projects, managing challenges, and making creative decisions under pressure. But beyond the skillset, what drives him is impact — for the team and for Brunei’s creative industry.

“I hope my work inspires others to push their creative boundaries and believe that great work can happen right here,” he said. “I want to help raise the standard — to tell meaningful stories and open more opportunities for local talents to shine.”
