Kolej International Graduate Studies (KIGS) signs an MoU with creative agency AICREATIVV at their 15th creative exhibition “VIBE”.
30th January 2024 marked the beginning of a partnership forged between AICREATIVV and Kolej International Graduate Studies (KIGS). During the opening ceremony of the biannual creative exhibition, “VIBE”, KIGS signed a memorandum of understanding with AICREATIVV, as well as Coffee Bean Brunei, Whatever Accessories, and Print Plus.
“VIBE” by KIGS is a creative exhibition, and for their 15th rendition, students from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Faculty of Information Technology showcased their skills and capabilities through presentations of their final-year projects. While many students exhibited talent and potential in their projects, the issue often arises after they graduate and begin looking for a sustainable career path to put those talents to good use. Some struggle to find a niche that they could thrive in. Others struggle to adapt from the highly structured environment of a university to the fast-paced and cutthroat environment of the working industry.
Students in universities and colleges today will eventually become the individuals who build the working force of our future, so it’s important that part of their professional growth includes learning to be well-equipped to meet the demands of any workplace. We believe that our role as working members of the creative industry is not just to build a sustainable living for ourselves, but to also help the future generation become industry-ready.
We hope that this collaboration serves as a channel that transforms that goal from possibility to reality. The MoU represents a bridge between our two organisations to exchange knowledge, resources, and guidance. Through internships, we hope to provide the students of KIGS opportunities to experience the working industry, improve their skills and talents, and maybe discover some new interests along the way. Students not only get to build on their strengths and expertise to excel in their desired industry, but they can also develop the soft skills that are necessary for any career, regardless of the industry they’re in.
In the long term, we also hope that this partnership will shed some light on the value that the creative industry has to offer. KIGS is full of talented individuals; some just need a little push to show their stripes to the world. We want to be a platform that builds the students’ confidence to put themselves out there and show what they’re capable of. By bringing undiscovered creatives to the surface and exposing the world to the value that these creatives can bring, we hope that this acts as a step forward towards improving the standards of our creative industry.
The signing of this memorandum of understanding, and thus the beginning of this partnership between AICREATIVV and Kolej International Graduate Studies, is an exciting new venture for our company and, on a larger scale, the creative industry. As a creative agency that values collaboration, we’re always eager to work with different people and feature the capabilities of individuals that deserve to be seen. We’re confident that some of these individuals are studying in the classrooms of KIGS today, sitting on their unreleased potential. We’re motivated to make the most out of this collaboration, to develop these students to the standards of the current industry, and to adapt alongside them so that we can all thrive in a sustainable and prosperous future.
